Boosters
The Grand Blanc Community Schools Soccer Parents, Inc. is a volunteer parent organization dedicated to supporting the Grand Blanc High School Girls and Boys Soccer Programs. Any parent of a GBHS soccer player, girl or boy, regardless of grade, is welcome and encouraged to participate. Booster club meetings are typically held on a monthly basis during the school year and perhaps more frequently when special projects are undertaken.
The Soccer Boosters raise funds and actively support the soccer program by doing activities such as:
- Operating and staffing the GBHS soccer concession stand
- Organizing and running the annual Ryan Schlee Memorial 3v3 Soccer Tournament
- Supporting the Ryan Schlee Memorial Scholarship
- Creating home game roster handout
- Coordinating ball girls and ball boys for all home games
- Producing and selling a spring and fall soccer program
- Organizing the spring and fall season team soccer banquets
- Organizing and providing the summer boys soccer blowout
Often girl team parents coordinate spring soccer activities while the boy team parents coordinate fall activities. However, we have found it is critical that both groups of parents volunteer their help to organize and run the Ryan Schlee Memorial 3v3 Tournament. The tournament is our major fund raising effort, and it takes an amazing amount of time and effort to have a successful tournament.
