Grand Blanc JV loses to Brighton. This game was unlike any other game this season. The shots on goal were kept at a minimum for both teams, in both the first and second half of the game. The first half of the game Grand Blanc had three shots on goal, all saved by the Brighton goalkeeper, Brighton had only one shot, that landed in the net ending the first half with a Brighton lead of 1-0. The second half would have five total shots on goal for both teams, Grand Blanc with 2 and Brighton with three. Three of those shots would end in goals. Grand Blanc’s Mohammad Ali Tahboub scored one and Brighton scored two, ending the game with a Brighton win 3-1.
Grand Blanc JV is back in the winner’s seat, defeating Howell 2-0. The first half started out slow for shots on goal. Grand Blanc Defense did not allow Howell a shot on goal. Grand Blanc offense had three shots on goal with one from Kolin Theede, assisted by Aaron Christensen, getting in the net. The half time score was 1-0. Grand Blanc offense owned the second half. Howell’s goalkeeper made 10 saves to stop all but one of Grand Blanc’s Shots in the second half. The second half Grand Blanc goal was scored by Kevin Connor, assisted by Mohammad Ali Tahboub. Additional shots on goal for Grand Blanc were taken by, Mitchell Larue, Kevin Connor, Khalid Foflonker, Joshua Taranto, Brent DeHaan, Justin Davitt, Zaid Fayyad, and Mohammad Ali Tahboub.
The first goal of the season against the Grand Blanc JV is scored by Stoney Creek. Grand Blanc JV suffers their first loss of the season, losing to Stoney Creek 1-0. The first half was dominated by Grand Blanc with six shots on goal, allowing Stoney Creek only one shot on goal which was saved by goalkeeper Ammar Hasnie. The score was 0-0 at half time. The second half went Stoney Creek’s direction. Although they came out more aggressive in the second half and managed to get four shots off, only one went in the net, giving Stoney Creek the win, 1-0.
Grand Blanc Junior Varsity tied with Traverse City West 0-0. It was a scoreless game for both teams. The first half was pretty evenly matched. There were five shots taken by Grand Blanc and six by Traverse City. None of which ended in a goal. The second half seemed to be dominated by Grand Blanc, having six shots to Traverse City’s one. Again, none of which ended in a goal, leaving the score at 0-0. Grand Blanc shots were taken by Brian Steele, Khalid Foflonker, Grant Fisher, Thomas Cooper, Brent DeHaan, Ali Mukhtar, and Mohammad Ali Tahboub. Goalkeeper Jake Schroer was in the net.
Another shut-out for The Grand Blanc Junior Varsity team! The JV defense did not allow Milford to score a goal, giving Grand Blanc another win with a score of 5-0. It was a repeat of the Hartland game with an amazing Grand Blanc defense and a very aggressive offense.
In the first half the Grand Blanc offense took 14 shots on goal. The first goal was scored by Brian Steele, assisted by Tyler Fee. The second goal was scored by Ali Mukhtar, giving Grand Blanc a 2-0 lead at half time. In the second half the Grand Blanc offense took an additional 9 shots on goal with three of them ending in goals. The third goal of the game was by Khalid FoFlonker, the fourth by Ali Mukhtar, and the fifth by Aaron Christensen, ending the game with another Grand Blanc win on 5-0.
